Seriously, that is what the recipe is called. Now, I know that this is a photography blog, and it is (as I will not post without a picture) but I am going to try to post more things that I think will be either useful or interesting to my loyal readers (thank you kindly for reading, I LOVE it). This recipe is both. It was sophisticated enough for an adult palette and approachable enough for a child. Good eats, my peeps.
My daughter, Ava, is what you might call, THE. PICKIEST. EATER. ON. EARTH. She can go days without eating foods that resemble fruits or vegetables or things that are not monochromatic. She enjoys things that are beige. Anyway, I spent a week at my BFF’s house and her daughter (who is less than 30 hours younger than my daughter, how funny is that?) ate anything that was put in front of her. Sashimi. Arugula. Anything and everything. Without complaint, no less.
Time to go the mattresses.
We are having a food war at my house.
It is not pretty, but, it is time.
In trying to get the Bird to eat new foods, I am cooking at home more often and trying to make things that have things that she does already like in them. I found this recipe in a book called Mom and Me Cookbook by Annabel Karmel. She is a british author that specializes in cookbooks for children. http://www.annabelkarmel.com/. This pasta has a slight Asian thing going on and is slightly sweet. It took me longer to boil the water than to put it all together . You can change out any veg or protein that is in season or that your kiddo will eat. Try it, you will like it.
