I love and obsess over this blog. It is a marriage of my two absolute favorite things. Food and photography. Matt Armendariz is a food photographer/blogger that has the most amazing eye I have ever seen. He see light and understands it and makes something as simple as a lemon irresistible. I must eat a lemon immediately after seeing one of his lemon pictures. His ability to make photographing food look easy is awe inspiring. Taking pictures of food is way harder than I ever thought possible. The man is gifted. Huge fan. Love him. Want to be him when I grow up. Not to mention that the fact that I would love raid his prop closet for a dish or two. Did I mention that Martha loves him too? Do yourself a favor, check out mattbites.com. I have been meaning to add this section to the blog for some time and I always forget. I am going to share with you the blogs that I love and read all the time. I have more than 50 (jeez, it is a wonder that my children get bathed and fed with all of the blog reading that I do) that I read all of the time. Many are photography, but there are also amazing food blogs, parenting ones, whatever catches my fancy. And I would like to share them with you. Here is the first installment.

People ask me all the time, what kind of camera do you use? How did you take that picture? Where did you learn photography? Well, for the most part, I taught myself. But I found a lot of help along the way. Thank you very much Internet. This blog is a new creation born from two wonderful and talented photographers Rachel Devine (her blog is really funny to read also) and Peta Mazey. Peta is not only an amazing child photographer she also created actions that I use for about 99% of all of my images. I LOVE THEM. This blog is called Beyond Snapshots and is going to be amazing. Bookmark it, RSS it, and read often. Your photos will thank you for it.
