Mrs. Smith [Sacramento Family Photographer]

This beautiful little family was a perfect way to start a very busy day of shooting. Mrs. Smith was Will’s TK teacher and we really love her. She was the perfect teacher for him and we watched him grow and become ready for Kindergarten in her care. We really can not say enough how grateful Wes and I are that Will had her as a teacher this year. I hope that she likes her family session as much as I liked shooting it.

In-N-Out Burger [Sacramento Family Photographer]

When you live someplace new every few years, you really tend to treat the place that you live as is if you were a tourist visiting on vacation. We move someplace and find all of the things that it has to offer. We take lots of road trips, visit the places that you have to go to in our new town, and eat the food of that place. Today was another rainy day here in Sacramento and the kids and I were getting on each other’s nerves. Daddy is away (in Hawaii, poor him), the rain finally stopped but everything was still wet so we decided to get in the car and go for a drive. I combined my two favorite things into one, eating and taking pictures and we ended up at In-N-Out burger. For those of you not from CA, it is an institution. There is a secret menu, you have to know how to order. It reminds me of going to Pat’s in Philly. Anyway, I have had In-N-Out once before and really didn’t understand what the big deal was about…. today I understand. That was one delicious burger.

On a side note, if you want to see something amazing, they can throw up a new In-N-Out in about 10 days. From foundation to open for business, it is amazing! Check it out here.

Jeez… I have been really busy the past few days. I really do try to get my camera out every day and shoot. But this week has been nutty and it is only Wednesday! Last weekend I had the pleasure of being the photographer for the city of Cameron Park as they opened their new Community Center. It was very moving to watch a group of people come together with an idea and watch it come to fruition years later. This project has been in the works since the mid 90′s! The community came out to welcome it’s new place to take classes, senior center, swimming pool, and be together. They even braved very cold temps and A LOT of rain.

I had to come back a few days later to get the shots for the city's website. I did all of the updated pictures, but the weather was not cooperating the day that I was up there. So my 3 little assistants came with me and we made an afternoon out of it. Cameron Park has some great playgrounds!
