Family [A Giveaway]

A few days ago, one of my clients sent me an email that her husband had passed away and that the pictures that I had taken of them as a family are even more cherished now.  This news has really rocked my world.  This was a young father and husband, a sweet, funny, handsome man who had so much more of his life to live.  Which brings me back to why it is so very, very, important to take family pictures.  I know that I am guilty of it.  We are too busy. I am feeling fat. We have nothing to wear.  But it is so very important to do.  Life is short.  Fleeting.  I want my children to remember what their life was like.  I want them to know that I loved them more than anything else in this world.   I want them to know that their father and I loved each other.  It shows in these picture of us taken by Tara Whitney.  I booked the session as my 34th birthday present to myself.  It was one of the best things that I have ever done.  Not only am I in love with the pictures, but we had the best day.  Weekend really.  We took a trip to LA and drove down to Orange County to meet Tara (who was perfect in every way).  It was one of the best weekends on memory.  And I have the pictures to prove it.

So, the giveaway.  I will do a family session and give the winners my digital file package.  Valued at $1650.

The Brady Family

I have not blogged in a long time.  Shame on me.  I have been working a lot and with the kids out of school, it seems my blogging has fallen to the wayside.  I promise that I will be a better blogger from now on.  I do blog a lot on my other website, Baked Bree, check out what is cooking other there.   In the meantime, how adorable is this family?  The two little boys in these pictures are very good friends with my older children.  N and my William are best buds and are in the same class at St. John’s.  M and Ava were in the same preschool class and Ava has informed me many times that she is in love with M and they are going to get married.  I am so not ready for that.  This lovely, sweet, family, has been so good to us during our time in California.  We love having them in our lives.  And I love how they are as a family.  These two little boys have a lot of people that love them and take care of them.  They are the luckiest boys around.

The Moore Family

I have been a bad blogger.  I know it.  And I am sorry.  But I have a really good session to share with you.  Does that make up for it?

This is the gorgeous Moore Family.  Do they have good genes or what?  Some seriously beautiful people.  And nice.  Really, really nice.  People that were a pleasure to spend an afternoon with.

Thank you.  I have the best job ever.

Life through the lens of an iphone

I love the ease of taking pictures with my iphone.  I always have it on me and I tend to take more pictures these days with my iphone than my real camera.  Some of my absolute favorite pictures ever of my children were taken with my iphone.  This is what my life looks like through the lens of my iphone.

I use this app for the pictures and this little piece of collage making heaven for the collages.

Airplane

A beautiful night out at the Air Station.  Clay was so happy and excited to be playing on the plane and forklifts he was shaking.  My boy are so spoiled that they get to go to daddy’s work and play on what other little boy’s dream of.
