I am feeling fat. We have nothing to wear.  But it is so very important to do.  Life is short.  Fleeting.  I want my children to remember what their life was like.  I want them to know that I loved them more than anything else in this world.   I want them to know that their father and I loved each other.  It shows in these picture of us taken by Tara Whitney.  I booked the session as my 34th birthday present to myself.  It was one of the best things that I have ever done.  Not only am I in love with the pictures, but we had the best day.  Weekend really.  We took a trip to LA and drove down to Orange County to meet Tara (who was perfect in every way).  It was one of the best weekends on memory.  And I have the pictures to prove it.

These were inspired by a picture that is very special to me.  It was taken about a year ago and it has some of our friends that we lost in it.  Although I did not take that picture, I edited it and made it look old and it is one of my favorites.  When Autumn came to me and wanted to recreate this type of picture I have to be honest, I was not sure how I felt about it.  The original is meaningful to me and I was not sure if I could do it again.  I am glad in the end that she pushed me to do it because I really, really love these and in some way they have healed some of my wounds surrounding this airplane.  So thank you Autumn and Kevan for making me love the Herc again.

Well Bree, your previous look was adorable, why would you want to change it?  Good question.  Because it was not “me”.  It does not reflect my personality or how I want my business to be portrayed.  I like clean, modern and simple.  I like my pictures to do the talking.  I love white.  I love calm and I really love peaceful.  I decided that it was time to change it up.

When it is all said and done, do me a favor, tell me what you think…

Because posts are lonely without pictures here are a few outtakes from my Christmas card picture shoot.  I have never been more proud of my children.  Our shoot was 12 minutes from first frame to last and they were AWESOME!  I got a ton of cute ones and all it cost me was a trip to Big Spoon.
