The Brady Family

I have not blogged in a long time.  Shame on me.  I have been working a lot and with the kids out of school, it seems my blogging has fallen to the wayside.  I promise that I will be a better blogger from now on.  I do blog a lot on my other website, Baked Bree, check out what is cooking other there.   In the meantime, how adorable is this family?  The two little boys in these pictures are very good friends with my older children.  N and my William are best buds and are in the same class at St. John’s.  M and Ava were in the same preschool class and Ava has informed me many times that she is in love with M and they are going to get married.  I am so not ready for that.  This lovely, sweet, family, has been so good to us during our time in California.  We love having them in our lives.  And I love how they are as a family.  These two little boys have a lot of people that love them and take care of them.  They are the luckiest boys around.

Stacy + Andrew = Happily Ever After [Charleston Wedding Photographer]

What do you do when someone that you love and have known forever asks you to document one of the biggest days of their lives?  You wipe away the tears because you are so honored that they asked you, and then you panic for the next 4 months wondering if you will do a good enough job!  I was so lucky to be a part of Stacy and Andrew’s wedding day.  The venue was perfect.  So perfect in fact, that Turnbull Mansion is used as a backdrop for the show Army Wives.  The food, utterly AMAZING.  The people at Fork did such an incredible job.  I wonder if they will share their shrimp and grits recipe?  It was the best I have ever had.  The flowers, breathtaking.  Laura at A Bella Bouquet outdid herself.  Her staff was wonderful to work with as well. The cake, throwdown-worthyPeninsula Grill Coconut Cake is a divine being.  The band, the Travis Allison Band was lively and kept everyone on their feet all night.

It was a beautiful day, a beautiful weekend, and a beautiful bride.  The groom wasn’t so bad either.

Stacy and Andrew, I wish you both all of the happiness in the World and a lifetime of love and laughter.

I cannot wait to document other big events in your life.  No pressure or anything.

Love to you both,

Bree

Karissa

This is our good friend’s daughter, Karissa, as she receives her First Holy Communion.  I am honored that her parent’s asked me to capture some portraits of her to remember this special day.

This little girl is one of the sweetest and kindest children that I have ever met.  She is the kind of girl that I hope that my daughter is like when she gets older.

Life through the lens of an iphone

I love the ease of taking pictures with my iphone.  I always have it on me and I tend to take more pictures these days with my iphone than my real camera.  Some of my absolute favorite pictures ever of my children were taken with my iphone.  This is what my life looks like through the lens of my iphone.

I use this app for the pictures and this little piece of collage making heaven for the collages.

Where I’ve been.

I have been quiet the last few days.  I went to see my best friend in the whole entire world.  She lives in Cleveland.  She happens to have the cutest newborn on the planet.  (Next to my newborns of course.)  But I am tired.  And I am jet lagged.  And I promise to show her gorgeous little face to you tomorrow.  In the meantime I am posting a very rare picture of myself on this here ol’ blog.

P.S.  How unfair is it that she looks this beautiful 9 days after giving birth???  I still love her despite this.
