Cold.

I am so not used to being cold anymore.  It was 34 degrees when I took William to school this morning.  My neighbors must think that I am nuts.  I took these pictures this morning wearing my Sock Monkey pj’s in the freezing cold with no shoes on.  My mom has a hard time believing that it does in fact get cold in California so I took these to prove that yes, we get frost in Cali.  It is beautiful though.

Mrs. Smith [Sacramento Family Photographer]

This beautiful little family was a perfect way to start a very busy day of shooting.  Mrs. Smith was Will’s TK teacher and we really love her.  She was the perfect teacher for him and we watched him grow and become ready for Kindergarten in her care.  We really can not say enough how grateful Wes and I are that Will had her as a teacher this year.  I hope that she likes her family session as much as I liked shooting it.

xo,

Bree

Succulents [Sacramento Photographer]

I was passing by Smith + Hawken yesterday and could not resist snapping a few.  I love succulents.  They are beautiful and very hard to kill.  The perfect plant for me.  S + H had a vertical wall of these gorgeous plants.

Waiting for Gooseberry [Sacramento Maternity Photographer]

This little girl is patiently awaiting the arrival of her baby brother.  She and her mom call him “Gooseberry”.  How sweet is that.

On a side note, I entered a little blog contest on Ali Hohn’s Rock That OCF blog and I WON!!! I never win anything so I was super excited.  Check her out here Ali’s Blog.  If any local photographers are interested in having Ali come to the Sac/Bay Area, I am willing to host… shoot me an email if you are interested.

What did I win you ask?  These gorgeous vintage frames from Tina Parker’s My Lil Creations.  Her work is AMAZING.  Check her out here.  Her Christmas cards are to die for!

Thanks Ali and Tina for the great prize!
