I love newborns. I love the smell. I love the cuddling. I love the coos. I love everything about newborns. This one was no exception. Sweet as can be and his parents are pretty awesome too.

Category Archives: natural lightI have not blogged in a long time. Shame on me. I have been working a lot and with the kids out of school, it seems my blogging has fallen to the wayside. I promise that I will be a better blogger from now on. I do blog a lot on my other website, Baked Bree, check out what is cooking other there. In the meantime, how adorable is this family? The two little boys in these pictures are very good friends with my older children. N and my William are best buds and are in the same class at St. John’s. M and Ava were in the same preschool class and Ava has informed me many times that she is in love with M and they are going to get married. I am so not ready for that. This lovely, sweet, family, has been so good to us during our time in California. We love having them in our lives. And I love how they are as a family. These two little boys have a lot of people that love them and take care of them. They are the luckiest boys around.
         Autumn and Kevan are a gorgeous couple that had a gorgeous wedding. 90 of their closest friends and family came to the Hawkesdene House in Andrews, NC to celebrate this day with them. I spent the weekend with them, knowing no one other than the bride and groom and came home with 88 new friends. Warm and welcoming and full of love for Autumn and Kevan. A beautiful, heartfelt ceremony was performed by Autumn’s childhood pastor. Kevan is a Coast Guard pilot that flies with my husband and I had forgotten how much I love a military wedding. It reminds me that I did not just marry my husband, but the Coast Guard as well.   We spent the week at my good friend Stacy’s wedding in Charleston, SC. It was the first time that my husband and I have ever left our children together. We had a great time (I will share the wedding pictures soon) and was happy to spend some time at the beach. It is hard to explain what it is like to not live near the beach when you have lived minutes away from one your entire life. It feels like something is missing. I love the way the sand feels on my feet and smell of the ocean in my babies hair when we go home. When we got back to my mother-in-law’s house in NC, we had a nice dinner and headed out to the beach to get our fill before we headed back to California. It would seem that my children feel the same way about the beach as I do. Look at the pure joy on their faces. We stayed until the sun went down.
   This is our good friend’s daughter, Karissa, as she receives her First Holy Communion. I am honored that her parent’s asked me to capture some portraits of her to remember this special day. This little girl is one of the sweetest and kindest children that I have ever met. She is the kind of girl that I hope that my daughter is like when she gets older.
